The Department of Fine Arts is seeking to appoint a Head of Programme Bachelor of Fine Arts, 80–100 percent. Start date: Spring semester 2025 (February 1, 2025) or by arrangement.
As Head of Programme for the Bachelor of Fine Arts, you will be responsible for the continuous development of the programme and the curriculum in connection with the research of the profile background of the Department and the ZHdK, as well as for positioning teaching within the framework of national and international developments within the field of contemporary art. You will ensure the quality of teaching and manage the programme in terms of content and organisation. In addition, you will take on a teaching commitment of approximately ten percent.

We expect:
–A university or academy degree at master’s level in the field of art or art history of the 20th century
–Active artistic or curatorial practice at an international level
–Senior level of teaching at an art university, academy or comparable institution
–International networking in the field of art academia and in the field of arts
–Leadership experience and financial responsibility in the art university sector or in the art sector in general
–Initiative, ability to engage in dialogue, integration and teamwork
–Willingness to work on committees
–Language skills: German (C2) and English (C1), written and spoken
–Place of work: Zurich
